Former Indonesian Minister of Health Terawan Agus Putranto received the title of honorary professor (non-permanent professor) of defense science in the field of military medicine, Faculty of Military Medicine, Defense University (IDU).
The 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto were present at the awarding of the honorary professor title to Dr. Terawan.
SBY and Prabowo looked both wearing suits when attending the event. The two of them were seen greeting each other.

Honorary Professor’s Degree for Terawan
The conferment of an honorary degree or non-permanent professor in the field of military health at the Defense University was given to Terawan starting January 1, 2022.
“Starting January 1, 2022, conferring honorary degrees or non-permanent professors in the field of military health at the Indonesian Defense University to Lt. Gen. TNI Retired Dr. Terawan Agus Putranto SpRad,” the decision was conveyed by the Secretary of Defense University, Wednesday (12/1/2022) .

On this occasion, Dr. Terawan’s achievements in the field of military health were also recognized internationally. The military’s ideas, ideas, and scientific works as TNI soldiers are also the final assessment of the feasibility of dr Terawan to receive the title of honorary professor.
Dr Terawan began to be known as the originator of the ‘brainwashing’ method or digital subtraction angiography (DSA) for patients stroke. In addition, he is known to be the initiator of the Nusantara vaccine.
