SBY loves children so much, that Democrats become a family party

JAKARTA – Former Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs Rizal Ramli admitted that he was disappointed with the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia as well as the Chair of the High Council Democratic party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ( SBY ). Because, Rizal Ramli sees the Democratic Party as a family party.

“I am a little disappointed with SBY, because SBY is educated, he understands the principles of democracy, how come he can do that because his son becomes a family party for a long time,” said Rizal Ramli in his conversation with Constitutional Law Expert Refly Harun on the YouTube channel Refly Harun entitled ” Live !! 3.5 Years I Was Offered To Be The Chief Democrat! #Dicecar With Rizal Ramli “.

Rizal Ramli admits that he is not very feudal. “Because I do not believe that this feudal nation can progress, the same as Bung Karno, I do not believe that this feudal nation can progress. Unfortunately we are too focused on external democracy, between state institutions, but we forget to fix internal democracy,” said Rizal Ramli.

According to him, it is useless to have a democratic system, but the parties are feudal, not internally democratic. “So like a family company, in the end they did not fight for the interests of the people and nation, now this applies not only to the Democratic Party, also applies to PDIP, Mba Mega, applies to others as well, Gerindra, with NasDem,” he said.

Therefore, Rizal Ramli wants political parties in Indonesia to be fully financed by the state. The system, he said, adopted other countries, including in Europe or Scandinavia. “Not financed by the bandar, cukong, so he was elected, he served the people, such as in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia,” said Rizal Ramli, who was also the former Coordinating Minister for Economy and Industry in the era of Indonesia’s Fourth President Abdurrahman Wahid alias Gus Dur.

Rizal Ramli assessed that the welfare of the people in these countries such as Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Scandinavia is better. “Social justice and social security systems, the people are better than the US-style port system, the political parties,” he added.
