Security Service “Naftogaz” Last year discovered theft during gas shipments. For several months, the service collected evidence and identified those involved.
Officials shipped petroleum products in the capacity of buyers by four to six tons more than was purchased, and forged official documents, according to the company’s security service.
“All collected materials were transferred to law enforcement agencies. The pre-trial investigation confirmed the involvement of a group of UPGGK officials in the crime,” Naftogazi said.
NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine continues to introduce new security systems for monitoring facilities. The gas supplier wants to reduce the human factor in order to prevent the recurrence of such incidents, Naftogaz stressed.
The suspects in embezzlement are planning to report the suspicion under Art. 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement or seizure of someone else’s property by abuse of office by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
