KOMPAS.com- A citizen named Sayuti (60) installed a 2.5 meter high wall at RT 001, RW 001, Kelurahan Penghentian Marpoyan Damai, Pekanbaru, Riau. The wall stood since a few days ago.
The existence of the wall automatically makes it difficult for road users to make many motorists annoyed and unable to pass.
The following is the journey of building a 2.5 meter wall on a residential road until it is finally dismantled by the TNI-Polri apparatus and villagers.

Starting red lights and horns
The background of the construction of the red lights was up to Sayuti’s anger after being honked.
Rahmat explained that Sayuti did not accept it when the Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency installed a red light at the intersection.
“He (Sayuti) was angry, why did the Transportation Department not permit him to install a red light. After that he installed bricks to block the road,” said Rahmat.
Not only that, Sayuti is also angry because he has been abused by road users.
“At that time he was angry at the horn until a traffic jam occurred. He said this is my land, my road, what do you want, he said to another driver. Said the passing driver, if it is your land, just close the road. “Rahmat’s story.

Sayuti then built a 2.5 meter high wall blocking the access road.
He claimed that the land belonged to his wife who worked at Sekwan DPRD Pekanbaru.
“He said that the land owned by his wife Dian Sukma was assigned to the Pekanbaru City Council Secretary. Mr Sayuti is a retired Customs and Excise. The road has been closed for 4 days with bricks installed,” said Rahmat.
But, Rahmat questioned Sayuti’s land certificate.
“But I do not know whether the land was constructed for the road or the land was constructed, all of them (in the certificate). But we have not seen the original land certificate,” said Rahmat.
Sayuti has only shown an old land certificate.
“If this is his land, why didn’t he complain. Why only now? So the people here are restless. I’ve forbidden it to close, but he doesn’t want to. I can’t do anything as RW chairman,” said Rahmat.

Wawan admitted that he was annoyed because the road had become closed.
This is because the road is a route to Jalan Kaharuddin Nasution, which is also a trans-Sumatra road.
On Friday (16/4/2021), the brick wall made by Nur Sayuti was finally demolished and demolished.
The demolition was carried out by a number of local residents, assisted by personnel from Bhabinkamtibmas, Babinsa and the police.
Rahmat explained that the demolition was done after a meeting with Sayuti.
“After we held a meeting with the village head, sub-district head, and police chief and saw the land certificate in question (Sayuti), the wall had to be dismantled. Because the community had complained a lot. The residents’ activities were disturbed. Regardless of whether the road is on their land or not. Let BPN (National Land Agency) Pekanbaru will determine the land boundary issue later, “Rahmat said, Friday.
At first, said Rahmat, the Sayuti craftsmen themselves tore down the walls. However, because the work took a long time, assistance was mobilized.
“If only masons tore it down, it would take a long time, while many residents wanted to pass here. Eventually the residents were helped,” he said.
By removing the wall, motorists can now return to using the road access. “Now, Alhamdulillah it has been dismantled and residents can cross again,” said Rahmat.
