Bus left the road – several injured

On Monday morning, a bus (driver 24) left the road on Bautzner Straße. Several people were injured.
The 24-year-old was traveling with the replacement bus on line 11 from Albertplatz towards Rothenburger Straße. For reasons that are still unclear, he left the road to the left, drove across the sidewalk and hit a power pole. The bus then collided with a tree and crashed into a VW Transporter.
According to current information, 28 people suffered minor injuries and two people suffered serious injuries, including the 24-year-old bus driver. Bautzner Strasse was closed for several hours. The damage is estimated at over 46,000 euros. The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing. (kj)
Conflict at Albertplatz – man slightly injured

Location: Dresden-Äußere Neustadt
A man (23) suffered minor injuries in an altercation at Albertplatz on Saturday night.
According to the current state of the investigation, the 23-year-old got into an argument with several men. The group of around 20 people beat him, his companion (20) and a friend (27). A knife and sticks are also said to have been used.
The 23-year-old was taken to hospital with cuts. His companions remained unhurt. The exact background to the altercation will be examined as part of the investigation into the grievous bodily harm. (kj)
Man insulted and robbed
Time: October 6th, 2024, 8:30 p.m
Location: Dresden-Seevorstadt
A man (22) was insulted on Wiener Platz. Unknown people also stole a bag and a cell phone from him.
A group of six insulted the 22-year-old. When the man tried to confront the strangers, a man hit him and ran away. Other unknown people came along and stole the victim’s cell phone and a belt bag.
The criminal police are investigating, among other things, suspicion of robbery. (kj)
Broke into Ford
Time: October 3rd, 2024, 10:30 a.m. to October 6th, 2024, 12:30 p.m
Location: Dresden-Mickten
Unknown people broke into a Ford Focus on Washingtonstrasse. The perpetrators got into the car in an unknown way and stole, among other things, two fuel canisters, a tire repair kit, wheel nuts and a charging cable with a total value of around 100 euros. There was no material damage. (kj)
Man gave Hitler salute

A man (37) has to answer for using the symbols of unconstitutional organizations.
The 37-year-old ran on Alaunstrasse and gave the Hitler salute. Alerted police officers caught the suspect. They made the appropriate complaint against the German and sent him off. (kj)

Broke into BMW
Time: October 5th, 2024, 9:00 p.m. to October 6th, 2024, 5:00 p.m
Location: Radebeul
Unknown people broke into a BMW 3 Series on Turnerweg. The perpetrators got into the car in an unknown way and stole the keys and the service booklet. The damage caused by the theft is estimated at around 200 euros; there was no material damage. (kj)
Drunk driving stopped

Location: Radebeul
A man (47) has to answer for drunk driving.
Witnesses reported to the police that an obviously drunk man got into an Opel Corsa on Sachsenstrasse and drove off. Alarmed police officers found the car on Kötitzer Strasse. A breath alcohol test on the 47-year-old driver showed a level of over 1.4 per mille. The officials arranged for the German to have his blood taken and made the appropriate report. (kj)
Two drivers under the influence of cannabis

Location: Riesa
Police officers from the Riesa district stopped two drivers who were driving under the influence of cannabis.
The patrol officers stopped a Fiat Ducato (driver 46) on Neubauernweg. A rapid drug test on the 46-year-old reacted positively to cannabis. A test on a 27-year-old VW driver who was stopped by the police on Friedrich-Ebert-Platz produced the same result. The officers arranged for blood samples to be taken from both men and made the appropriate reports. (uh)

Samson stolen

In the past few days, unknown people have stolen a Simson from a parking lot on Pirnaer Strasse. The moped is worth around 3,000 euros. The police are investigating the theft. (rr)
Shed gate broken open

Location: Pirna
Unknown people broke open the gate of a shed on Rottwerndorfer Strasse. Whether anything was stolen is the subject of the investigation. The amount of property damage has not yet been determined. (rr)
Wheels stolen from VW

Unknown people stole the four wheels of a VW Passat in a parking lot on Reutlinger Strasse. The damage is around 1,500 euros. The police are investigating the theft. (rr)
