Motor scooter stolen – suspects identified

Location: Dresden-Gorbitz
On Sunday night, Dresden police officers caught three suspected scooter thieves (16, 17, 17).
A passer-by observed several young people tampering with a motor scooter on the Wölfnitzer Ring. Ultimately, two of them drove away on the scooter, the others followed on foot.
Alerted police officers were able to catch three suspects in the surrounding area. The stolen scooter was recovered. The three German suspects are now being investigated for theft. (ml)
Child injured in accident – witnesses wanted

On Friday, a boy (10) was injured in an accident in the Wilhelm-Franke-Straße/Spitzwegstraße roundabout. The driver involved in the accident left the scene of the accident without permission.
The ten-year-old rode a bicycle from Spitzwegstrasse into the roundabout. As he passed the entrance to Wilhelm-Franke-Straße, a Citroen drove into the circle and hit the bike. The boy fell and was slightly injured. The driver spoke briefly to the ten-year-old and then drove on. She was about 65 years old, about 1.65 meters tall and had blue-black hair.

Police found stolen bike

Police have located a bicycle that was reported stolen and returned it to the owner.
The police were called to the “Pillnitz Schloss” stop because unknown people there had stolen a bicycle worth around 1,000 euros. The lock that had been cut up by the thieves was still there. Later on Saturday, patrol officers noticed an abandoned bicycle in Graupa that matched the description. They took it to the station and handed it over to the owner after he proved that the two-wheeler actually belonged to him. (uh)
Wooden door burned

Location: Dresden-Leipziger Vorstadt
Last night a wooden door of a building on Hansastrasse caught fire.
The fire was noticed early and was quickly extinguished. No one was injured. Damage information is not yet available. The police are investigating suspicions of negligent arson. (ml)

Motorcyclist fell

Location: Großenhain, OT Strauch
On Sunday, a motorcyclist (26) was injured in an accident on K 8514.
The 26-year-old was driving a Honda CBR between the B 101 and Strauch when a cat ran across the road. He avoided the animal. He lost control of the machine, left the road and drove into the ditch. He was slightly injured. There was damage amounting to around 5,000 euros. (lr)
A driver with a blood alcohol level of 2.5 struck two cars

Location: Riesa
A drunk driver (51) crashed into two cars on August-Bebel-Straße. There was material damage amounting to around 21,000 euros.
The 51-year-old was driving a Hyundai i40 towards the Dr.-Külz-Straße roundabout when he veered to the right and collided with a VW Polo and a BMW 1 Series. Both vehicles were parked in a parking bay on the side of the road. There were no injuries.
A breath alcohol test on the 51-year-old German showed a level of more than 2.5 per mille. The police took a blood sample from the man and confiscated his driver’s license. They are investigating the danger to road traffic. (uh)
High-quality bicycles stolen
Time: September 29, 2024, 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m
Location: Meissen
Unknown people stole five bicycles from a parking lot on Elbberg Street on Sunday.
An e-bike worth around 3,500 euros was connected to a sign. The perpetrators destroyed the lock and stole the bike along with saddlebags containing jackets and helmets.
A mountain bike and a gravel bike were locked together with a folding lock and were also stolen. The wheels are worth around 8,400 euros.
The perpetrators stole two touring e-bikes with a total value of around 10,500 euros from the bike rack of a motorhome. There was material damage of around 300 euros. (lr)
Wagon sprayed

Location: Niederau
On Sunday, unknown people sprayed a railway carriage on company premises.
The perpetrators gained access to the area through unknown means and put two pieces of graffiti on a wagon. The material damage amounts to around 2,000 euros. (lr)
Handbag stolen while shopping
Time: September 28, 2024, 3:30 p.m
Location: Gröditz
Thieves stole the handbag of a woman (86) in a market on the main street.
The 86-year-old had put her handbag in a cart to go shopping. In an unobserved moment, the perpetrators stole the bag along with a wallet containing 120 euros and personal documents.
The police advise:
– When shopping, do not put your wallet in your shopping bag, shopping cart or walker!
– Keep your handbag closed and don’t let it out of your sight in the store!
– Store wallets, cell phones and valuables in locked pockets close to your body!
– Keep your distance from strangers and avoid physical contact!
Mirror stolen
Time: September 27th, 2024, 2:30 p.m. to September 29th, 2024, 11:30 a.m
Location: Coswig
Unknown people stole the mirror glass of a VW Caddy at the weekend. The VW was on Bahnhofstrasse. The perpetrators removed the glass worth around 70 euros from the mirror housing. This resulted in damage amounting to around 20 euros. (lr)

Motorcycle stolen – witnesses wanted

Ort: Hartmannsdorf-Reichenau
Unknown people stole a Honda Varadero motorcycle near Lehnmühler Straße last week (see media information no. 550/24 from September 24, 2024).
The driver (48) parked the machine on a forest path because the motorcycle was no longer running. When he went to pick it up the next day, it was gone. The value of the motorcycle is not yet known.
The police are looking for witnesses who can provide information about the theft or whereabouts of the two-wheeler. The Dresden Police Department will receive information on (0351) 483 22 33. (lr)
E-scooter stolen

Thieves stole two e-scooters from the ferry station in Schöna. The owners connected the scooters there and took the ferry to Hrensko. While she was away, unknown people stole the e-scooters worth a total of around 1,400 euros. (uh)
Door damaged

Location: Neustadt in Saxony
Unknown people damaged the door of a house on Maxim-Gorki-Strasse at the weekend.
The perpetrators apparently threw a ceramic pot and a construction fence at the house, causing damage to the door amounting to around 5,000 euros. The police are investigating property damage. (lr)
Drivers with a blood alcohol level of 1.4 per mille

Location: Pirna-Copitz
Police officers from the Pirna district stopped a drunken driver (39). The patrol officers stopped a Mercedes Sprinter on Pillnitzer Strasse. A test showed that the driver was under the influence of alcohol with a alcohol content of more than 1.4 per mille. The police ordered a blood sample from the German and withheld his driver’s license. (uh)
