In cooperation with the Authority for Justice and Consumer Protection, the Hamburg Consumer Center is offering three free online lectures for young families in November on the topics of household budgets, insurance and investments. There are still places available for all dates. The lectures are part of a joint information campaign by the authorities and consumer advice centers. The campaign is intended to help families keep track of their expenses and keep their own finances under control.
Free online lectures for young families
“The budget under control: saving at home”
Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m
Families in particular often ask themselves how they can save money in everyday life. Which expenses are really necessary and which purchases are perhaps unnecessary? Where are cost traps lurking? In order to make the right decisions, we recommend determining the status quo as a first step: How high is the income, what monthly expenses are currently burdening the budget?
“Insurance companies: they should be the right ones”
Monday, November 18, 2024, 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m
Work, children, sport, friends – as young parents it is often not easy to master the challenges of everyday life and reconcile the needs of all family members. Who still has the time and energy to take care of their insurance coverage in a free moment? But the effort is worth it.
“Investment for young families”
Friday, November 22, 2024, 5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m
Firstly, things turn out differently, and secondly, than you think. Life cannot always be planned. This means remaining flexible. Your own investments should also be designed in such a way that savings can be used if life changes. For example, through marriage, having children, buying a property or the desire to become self-employed.
The lectures are planned for 30 minutes. Afterwards, participants have the opportunity to ask the expert their questions via chat for 30 minutes.
