“Saving Habits in Belgium: Comparison with OECD Countries and Analysis of Financial Product Awareness”

Three quarters of Belgians indicate that they actively save. But 6 of the 30 OECD countries are doing better, according to a report from a few years ago.

In stark contrast are the figures on the number of compatriots who attempt to weigh up options when choosing a financial product such as a bank account. But a quarter of Belgians did so at the time of the survey, lower than the OECD average of 29 percent.
