Saving €100 million: Adidas agreed with Kanye West to end the legal battle: EADailly

Adidas has settled its dispute with rapper and producer Kanye West out of court, and the parties no longer have any claims against each other. This was reported by the Financial Times regarding the CEO of the company Bjorn Gulden.

“Gulden said on Tuesday that both sides have decided to drop their claims against each other,” – the publication says.

It is clarified that passing legal proceedings would allow the company to save about €100 million, which is expected to be used for charity. The company will do the same with the money from the sale of sneakers with the Yeezy logo that are left in warehouses. According to the general manager, they will be sold out before the end of this year so the brand’s relationship with West will be put to rest.

As reported EADailyKanye West has been designing shoes and clothes for Adidas under the Yeezy brand since 2015. The contract was valid until 2026. Adidas called the work with West the most successful collaboration in the history of the business. However, in 2022, the company announced that it refused to cooperate with the musician because of his statements, which were called “inappropriate, hateful and dangerous.” In particular, we were talking about one of the publications on the social network X, after which users accused the West of anti-Semitism.
