The little girl CCV (four years old) living in a Cambodian locality bordering Vietnam was transported to Nhi Dong 2 Pediatric Hospital on March 26 in critical condition due to dengue. Doctors quickly put the patient on a ventilator, treated her with a high-molecular electrolyte solution, and used vasoactive and cardiac medications. The patient also received ongoing dialysis and liver preservation treatment…
According to her relatives, the little girl had a high fever for two consecutive days and was treated at a medical facility in Cambodia, but her condition did not improve. On the third day, she vomited blood and had a high fever. Her family took her to a private clinic in the Vietnamese province of Binh Phuoc for an examination and tests. According to the results, she was suffering from dengue fever. Then, the family quickly decided to take him to Nhi Dong 2 Pediatric Hospital.
According to Doctor Dô Châu Viêt, head of the hospital’s Intensive Care Department, to date, dialysis has been stopped and the girl has left the Intensive Care Department. She is receiving improved nutrition and will be released from the hospital soon.
As his family finds itself in a difficult situation, the hospital has mobilized generous donors to cover his treatment costs.
