A doctor said Dustin Diamond died Monday morning. His health has deteriorated rapidly since last week. His girlfriend was with him when he passed away.
In January of this year, it was announced that the actor had cancer. A spokesman for Dustin leaves on TMZ know that the 44-year-old initially felt a lump in his neck. In the hospital it turned out that the cancer has spread to the rest of his body. The actor was admitted to the hospital where the diagnosis was made and the doctors immediately started treatment. The cancer started elsewhere in his body, but has spread to Dustin’s lungs. At the end of January it was announced that the actor had finished his first course of chemotherapy.

Dustin is the only cast member from the original series not featured in the reboot of Saved By The Bell currently airing in the US on streaming service Peacock. After the sitcom’s end and sequel The College Years the actor did not get many roles anymore. He did occasionally act as a stand-up comedian.
