Find your bike at a reasonable price. This is what it will be possible to do on Saturday October 7 during the Bicycle Exchange of the Puy-en-Velay Cycling Union. Organized for 15 years, the latter has become, over the years, a tradition for buyers who come in large numbers in search of their future cycle at a lower cost.
The principle is simple, anyone wishing to sell their bike can come to the Pierre-Cardinal center between 9 a.m. and noon. Following a quick assessment with club members, the bike was put on sale that afternoon. “We can advise the seller on the sale price,” explains Fabrice Colly, president of the UCPV. This day can therefore be a godsend for certain families, because with the soaring prices of new goods and delivery times, the second-hand market is a blessing.
Profits will go to the young people of the UCPV
The afternoon will be dedicated to sales. If the latter takes place from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., you will need to be there very early. “People often come early in the afternoon to take advantage of the good deals,” warns the club president. The club’s flagship event, the Bicycle Exchange is also a means of financing the club’s season. “We take 10% of each sale made and all the profits go into financing the season so that cyclists can go racing,” explains Fabrice Colly.
To perfect your bike, small restorations can be made after purchase, spare parts as well as accessories will be offered for sale.
