The Nimes Olympique invites itself again in the political news of the Gard prefecture. A demonstration was announced for Saturday May 13 at 8am in front of the town hall, on the occasion of the municipal council to « challenge the Town Hall of Nîmes as well as the Nîmes Olympique association “. In its press release, the collective “Save Le Nîmes Olympique” makes an indictment against the record of the president of the club, Rani Assaf, accusing him, among other things, of the departure of Bernard Blaquart and a ” mercantile vision of football “. Among the signatories of the platform, we find former club members, such as Alain Espeisse, who had already spoken out against the establishment of the Grinta Club, or the main ultra Nîmes group, the Gladiators 1991, who made a surprise comeback. Saturday at the Stade des Antonins during the match against Valenciennes during the 34th day of Ligue 2.

– the non-extension of the sales agreement for the Stade des Costières by the town hall
– as a last resort, the termination of the agreement between the Nîmes Olympique association and the professional section, even if it means returning to Regional 1
The press release also calls for general mobilization to support the team, while two home games remain to be played (Dijon J36, Sochaux J38)
