Save big and raise taxes: the new British Chancellor of the Exchequer Hunt proposes the budget

Hunt wants to boost the economy by raising taxes and cutting public spending even more. The latter is expected to yield 34 billion euros. The NHS, the British health system, remains unaffected, but also receives no extra budget, although doctors and nurses had already sounded the alarm before the corona pandemic. Other public sectors, such as education, will have to make do with fewer budgets.
