Saugerties Man Pulls Gun on Delivery Guy – NBC 7 South Florida

NEW YORK — An ordinary pizza delivery turned violent for a Domino’s employee Saturday night who suddenly came face to face with a loaded firearm, police said.

The delivery man showed up at a home on Josephs Drive in Saugerties, located in the heart of New York’s Hudson Valley, around 10:20 pm for an order delivery. Instead of the usual direct pizza delivery for payment, there was confusion about ordering.

Police said Ralph Carpino, 45, told the clerk he hadn’t ordered pizza. It was unclear what caused the situation to escalate and Carpino to point a semi-automatic pistol at the delivery man.

But police said further investigation of the incident revealed that someone else in the house, a family member of the 45-year-old man, had in fact ordered a pizza that night.

Carpino was arrested at the home and charged with threats and possession of a weapon. He was released on an appearance ticket, authorities said. Information from the man’s attorney was not immediately available.
