Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s decision to treat a Saudi princess and her brother as Egyptians in connection with owning an area of land has sparked extensive interaction among activists on social media average.
The Official Gazette in Egypt published the decision, which read as follows: “HH Princess Nouf bint Muqrin bin Mamdouh Al Saud and HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Muqrin bin Mamdouh Al Saud (Saudi citizens) will be treated with the same treatment prescribed for Egyptians regarding to owning an area of (102 feet), 9i) in the green belt area at Wadi El-Natrun at kilometer 96.95 Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road.
The Official Gazette stated: “Decision of the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt no. 528 of 2022 President of the Republic after the examination of the Constitution; Law no. 143 of 1981 in the matter of desert lands; Law no. 7 of 1991 on the matter to certain provisions relating to private state property; Republic No. 311 of 1999 approving the treatment of His Highness Prince Mamdouh bin Abdulaziz Al Saud (Saudi citizen) the treatment prescribed for Egyptians with regard to ownership of an area (102 F , 9 I) in the Green Belt area in Wadi Al-Natrun at kilometer 96.95 Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road n.129 of 2017 concerning the approval of the cancellation of the assignment of two plots of land for the purpose of reclamation and cultivation and to return them to the original state of private state owned land.
And the newspaper added: “And according to what was presented by the Minister of Local Development, and after the approval of the Council of Ministers, it was decided: (Article One) that it is Her Royal Highness Princess Nouf bint Muqrin bin Mamdouh Al Saud who His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Muqrin bin Mamdouh Al Saud (Saudi citizens) is treated as The treatment prescribed for Egyptians in connection with the possession of an area (102F, 9I) in the green belt area in Wadi Al-Natroun al kilometer 96.95 Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road .. (Article Two) This decision will be published in the Official Gazette, and the competent authorities will implement it. The year 1444 AH (corresponding to 26 October 2022 AD) ..
