The General Directorate of Saudi Passports launched a new electronic service called: “Absher Travel” at the King Fahd Causeway port for departures by land to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The service allows registering the departure of passengers, companions, and vehicles through the “Absher” application before they travel. This new service will speed up and shorten the procedures. Under this new electronic service, land travelers to the Kingdom of Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway can be informed of the possibility of congestion at the port during the expected arrival time, and to ensure in advance that the travelers’ record is free of notes that may hinder their travel, such as the absence of the necessary permits to travel or the expiration date of a document. This service comes as a continuation of the digital technical solutions provided by the Saudi Passports Directorate in order to shorten the time and effort of travelers, both citizens and residents, through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform “Absher” and provide them with the best services with ease, ease and speed.
