The Saudi Ministry of Interior said in its statement: “Abdullah bin Hamoud bin Mutawa Al-Shammari, a Saudi national, brought amphetamine tablets into the Kingdom.”
The ministry said: “The security authorities were able to arrest the perpetrator of the aforementioned crime, and as a result of the investigation he was charged with the crime, and that he was sent to the appropriate court and killed as an optional punishment, and the decision ended after he appealed and was then confirmed by the Supreme Court.
The Saudi Ministry of Interior confirmed that “the death penalty was imposed against the perpetrator, Abdullah bin Hamoud bin Mutawa Al-Shammari, on Thursday, 2/18/1446 AH, corresponding to 8/22 /2024 AD, in the Al – Jawf region,” according to the statement.
