Saudi League Criticized by Reda Abdel-Al: Journalist Walid Al-Farraj Responds with Strong Words

Al-Marsad newspaper: Journalist Walid Al-Farraj, presenter of the Action with Walid program, responded to former Egyptian football player Reda Abdel-Al’s criticism of the Saudi League, describing it as “the league of invalids.”

Al-Farraj said: “Captain Reda Abdel-Al is upset. There are no invitations to Saudi sporting events, not even an analyst on its channels and programmes. The man is a little disgusted, but he missed that this method will not produce results. Believe me.”

Saudi League

Reda had said in television statements that he does not watch the Saudi League, nor does he like it, and described it as “the league of the drummers.”

He continued in the Egyptian colloquial dialect: “Having fun in the stadiums, photography, and public attendance, but football and arts are nothing to worry about for 3 pounds.”

He added: “Zamalek played a match with Al-Ahly Jeddah team and won 3 goals to nothing. This means players from Al-Ahly play in the league and spend millions, and Zamalek wins them with “Donja and Omar Jaber.”
