Saudi Foreign Minister Calls for Consultative Meeting on Israeli War in Gaza with Qatar and UAE Ministers – Urges Immediate Ceasefire and Support for Palestinian Refugees

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that “Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan called on Thursday to hold a consultative meeting to discuss developments in the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip, in the presence of Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani and UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah.” Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri, and Hussein Al-Sheikh, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization.

She indicated in a statement, “The ministers stressed the necessity of ending the war on the Gaza Strip, reaching an immediate and complete ceasefire, ensuring the protection of civilians in accordance with international humanitarian law, and lifting all restrictions that impede the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip,” noting that they “expressed their Their support for the Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), and they urged all its supporters to play their role in supporting humanitarian missions towards Palestinian refugees.”

The Ministry stated that they “also stressed the importance of taking irreversible steps to implement the two-state solution, and to recognize the State of Palestine along the lines of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the relevant international resolutions, stressing that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory, “And their categorical rejection of all forced displacement.”
