Al-Marsad Newspaper: The Saudi envoy, “Muhammad Al-Sahli”, recounted the details of his contribution to saving an elderly American woman who was stranded in the snowstorm in New York.
Al-Sahli said: The incident occurred at half past six in the evening in the city of Buffalo in the state of New York, and the storm was very strong, and when we offered free help to the American lady, she was surprised by this and cried and thanked us.
And she added in a video for Al-Arabiya channel: The lady asked us: Why do you provide assistance for free? My answer was because these are our values, customs and principles of our Islamic religion, on which we have grown up, and which motivates us to cooperate and help.
He continued: After completing the assistance, she insisted that we visit her in the restaurant where she works to offer the duty of hospitality in exchange for the assistance, and we, as exiled Saudis, try to highlight our authentic Saudi culture at all times and places.
