Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Ali Al-Zahrani revealed how dangerous the e-cigarette is for health, especially for the respiratory system, noting that many young people entered emergency rooms and intensive care units because of it.
He explained, during an intervention via Skype, on the “Saudi Street” program, broadcast on the “Saudi Arabia” channel, that electronic cigarettes can cause pneumonia.
Al-Zahrani referred to an outbreak of a disease called “Ivari” in 2019 in the United States, among young people, especially those in their 30s and younger, saying they were hospitalized due to severe respiratory infections.
He attributed the reason to the fact that there is a lack of caliber in the liquids that are placed inside the e-cigarette, and also that the substances can be used in quantities greater than those permitted, and therefore serious lung infections occur.
