According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army, Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Defense Minister Talal bin Abdullah Al-Otaibi met Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir at GHQ, and discussed issues of mutual interest and defense production. Consideration was given to increasing cooperation in various fields.
According to ISPR, military training issues were also reviewed in the meeting.
The Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army has further informed that the Saudi Minister appreciated the achievements of the Pakistan Army against terrorist activities, the Saudi Minister also recognized the role of the Pakistan Army for global peace and stability.
According to ISPR, the Saudi minister also attended the Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Defense Consultative Meeting at GHQ, where global and regional security challenges and their impact on the security forces were reviewed.
During the meeting, utilization of modern technology and increasing cooperation in the field of defense was reviewed, the commitment to intensify efforts to increase defense cooperation was reiterated in the meeting.
According to ISPR, the meeting also reiterated the commitment to increase the capabilities to deal with the challenges in the land, air and naval sectors.
