Today, Monday, Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Saudi Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of NEOM, announced the development of Sandala Island, the first Tourist destinations of Neum The luxury cruise ship, one of the most important projects in support of the national tourism strategy, which was created to be the main gateway for cruises in the Red Sea and to provide one of the most important international hospitality and entertainment experiences. The island is expected to start receiving visitors in early 2024.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman said, “This project represents an important moment that reflects the acceleration of development in NEOM and embodies an important step in achieving our tourism ambitions under Saudi Vision 2030.”
He added, “Sandala will be the first luxury nautical destination and yacht club on the Red Sea in Neom, and will also be a gateway to global tourism in the Red Sea and the region, featuring a unique location and fascinating nature that qualify as a platform for luxury nautical tourism in the world,” the Saudi news agency quotes. Sandala Island is located in the Red Sea on a total area of about 840,000 square meters, and is part of a group of islands that will develop in Neom according to different visions and designs that distinguish each island from the next. The Sindala Island project is expected to create 3,500 jobs to support the tourism, hospitality and entertainment services sector.
Sindala Island will include a charming and bustling marina with 86 berths, making it an ideal destination for hosting large boats and yachts, making it the main gateway to the Red Sea, offering exceptional cruising experiences.
Sindala Island will provide 413 hotel rooms with the highest international standards, as well as 333 high-end hotel apartments featuring a high level of services, as well as a luxurious beach club and a yacht club, while providing time experiences exceptional international restaurants on the island.
