The children of a Saudi family have mastered the English language, and have become fluent in it, by watching TV channels and YouTube.
One of the children of that family said: “At the age of five, I used to watch TV a lot, then I found content in English, and I did not know anything about the language, then I searched and got to know more about the country, and I started watching more content in English.”
He pointed out that he also knows many things about space and gravity, adding: “Then I went to school and it was a scary experience. I did not know what to do. People expected that I was American, and I told them that I was Saudi and they did not believe me.
Another child in the family indicated that when his parents travel abroad, they do not seek the help of translators, but rather they do.
For her part, curriculum designer and lecturer for teaching English, Amjad Al-Ahmad, explained the importance of teaching English to children.
Al-Ahmad said: “The English language is what a group of people can understand when talking about a specific thing, and a child who does not learn English at an early age will not be able to be part of important societies,” noting that the child can learn more than 3 easier languages. from adults.
