Najran is a city in southwestern Saudi Arabia near the Yemeni border.
The Arab coalition later confirmed that one missile was intercepted over the city. “The Houthis are targeting civilian objects that are protected by international law,” said a statement by the Arab Coalition.

The failed attack came less than 24 hours after the Energy Ministry announced that a petroleum distribution terminal in Jazan had been hit by Houthi projectiles, causing it to catch fire.

Saudi air defenses also intercepted and destroyed eight Houthi-launched explosive drones targeting civilian areas in Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
