Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – A video clip of former Saudi Crown Prince Prince Muhammad bin Salman with the Emir of the capital, Riyadh, Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, has been circulating on activists’ social media.
The video clip, broadcast by the activists on the Saudi channel Al-Ekhbariya, dates back to the forum of the National Industries Development Program, sponsored by the Saudi crown prince in January 2019.
Activists shed light on the fact that the Saudi crown prince took off the “basht” he was wearing as he got out of the car, before waving goodbye to the prince of Riyadh, who was not wearing a “bisht”, which sparked an interaction about the “humility” of Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Account owner Najla Al-Otaibi tweeted, commenting on the video, in which she said: “We have expanded and developed, and have preceded the world, praise be to God…but we still maintain our honorable morals and our peace in the great respect with which the people of the island were brought up even before Islam! Your Highness sir gives a lesson in appreciation and respect for future generations when he removed the bisht in seconds, out of respect for His Highness the Prince of Riyadh.
