TRIBUNNEWS.COM – Saudi Arabia impose sanctions for its citizens who travel to countries with high infection rates Covid-19 high, including Indonesia.
Reported Arab NewsThe Ministry of Home Affairs said citizens who recklessly entered a red list country would be banned from traveling for 3 years.
Indonesia is included in the red list because of the pandemic conditions Covid-19 which is still considered worrisome.
In addition, Saudi citizens who are still in Asian countries are advised to stay away from areas with high infection rates.
Previously, the Saudi government had banned its citizens from traveling to and from the UAE, Ethiopia and Vietnam without permission.

An Interior Ministry official said, some citizens Saudi Arabia who traveled without the authorities’ permission in May, would be violating the rules.
“Anyone found to be involved will be subject to legal responsibility and severe punishment upon their return, and will be banned from traveling for three years,” said an Interior Ministry official who asked not to be named, reported Reuters.
Saudi Arabia prohibits travel or transit in a number of countries, some of which are:
- Afghanistan
- Argentina
- Brazil
- Egypt
- Ethiopia
- India
- Indonesia
- Lebanon
- Pakistan
- south Africa
- Turkey
- Vietnam
- United Arab Emirates
“The Ministry of Home Affairs stresses that citizens of the public are still prohibited from traveling directly or through other countries to this state or any other country that has not yet brought the pandemic under control or where a new strain has spread,” the official said.
Saudi Arabia has so far carried out more than 24.57 million PCR tests, with a total of 109,194 carried out in the last 24 hours.
