Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Saudi Interior Ministry has announced the arrest of a woman who appeared in an “offending public morals” video clip on social media platforms, without disclosing her nationality.
The Saudi interior ministry also announced the arrests of two nationals and another Nigerian for filming and posting the video on social media platforms.
And a statement posted by the official Saudi public safety Twitter account said Riyadh police arrested a woman who “appeared in visual content that violates public morals.”
The statement adds that the Riyadh police also arrested “a Nigerian national resident and two citizens for violating the anti-cybercrime system to document and publish content on social media”.
The press release added that the four suspects had been arrested, that preliminary measures had been taken against them and that they had been referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
