Saudi Foreign Ministry: Restoring relations with Canada in light of the discussions of the Crown Prince and the Prime Minister of Canada
Today, Wednesday, Saudi Arabia announced the restoration of the level of diplomatic relations with Canada to its previous status on the basis of mutual respect and common interests.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, according to what was reported by the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”, that in light of what was discussed between Prince Muhammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, on the sidelines of the summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Forum. Pacific (APEC) in Bangkok on November 18, 2022 AD, and the desire of both sides to restore diplomatic relations between the two countries on the basis of mutual respect and common interests, it was decided to restore the level of diplomatic relations with Canada to its previous status.
For its part, the Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the appointment of Jean-Philippe as Canada’s new ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
