Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Activists on social media have released videos and images of the mountains of the Emirate of Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the vegetables that cover it after the recent rain wave they witnessed, which has triggered an interaction.
The activists linked the video clips to a hadith broadcast on the authority of the Prophet Muhammad in the book Sahih Muslim, which states: “Qutayba bin Saeed told us, Jacob told us, and it is Ibn Abd al-Rahman, the reader, on the Suhail’s authority, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The Hour will not come until the money increases and overflows Until until a man goes out with the zakat of his money, and finds no one to accept it from him, and until the land of the Arabs becomes meadows and rivers.
The Emirate of Mecca posted a video clip in a tweet on its official page of the social network ‘Twitter’, with a comment saying: ‘Video… The mountains of Mecca are covered with greens after the recent rains.. . Photograph: Abd al-Ilah al-Salami.”
In a separate tweet, the Emirate of Mecca posted a video clip with a commentary saying: “Video…the beauty of nature in Al-Leith Governorate…Photograph: Hamid Al-Yazidi.”
And the Saudi Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture had released a report a few days ago to monitor the amount of rainfall in the various regions of the Kingdom, which said: “The Mecca region recorded (41.2 ) mm in Ghumaiqa center in Al-Leith governorate, and (19.1) mm in Mina, and in the eastern region, Al-Sarrar center recorded (29.9) mm in Nairyah governorate and (23, 0) mm in Ras Tanura governorate, while Diriyah governorate in Riyadh region recorded (21.0) mm in Sadus center and (13.0) mm in Jubailah, and in Madinah region, governorate of Mahd al-Dahab recorded (15.6) mm and Khayber governorate (15.2) mm, while Hail region recorded (7.8) mm in Hail city and (4.7) village of Al-Sa’irah in Al-Shannan Governorate.
And the report, which was reported by the official Saudi news agency, indicated that “quantities of water stored and discharged from dams, where the total volume of storage behind the dams reached (662,953,627) m3, while the volume of incoming streams was equal to aa (33,330,989) m3, and the volume of water discharged from the sluice gates (-1,239,135) m3, and the volume of consumption of technological stations is equal to (2,605,813) m3, and the total amount of water discharged and consumed was (-3,844,948) m3, while the total variation in storage volumes was equal to (29,486,040) m3.
