Favorite for the next Ballon d’Or, Vinicius Jr is the leader of the attack of Real Madrid and has attracted the attention of Saudi Arabia. According to information from Relevo, a salary of one billion euros has been offered to the attacker, who would not necessarily be indifferent to this XXL proposal.
Saudi Arabia aspires to be a player in world football and the national championship could count on one more player of global stature. Due to its unlimited financial power, supported by the country’s investment fund, the Saudi Pro League has targeted Vinicius Jr for this summer, and according to our colleagues at Relevo, has even proposed an XXL offer to Real Madrid for its star: a salary of one billion euros and a 5-year contract. After having managed to attract Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Sadio Mané or, more recently, Moussa Diaby, the Saudi Pro League is therefore not satisfied and this offer would clearly make the 24-year-old striker think twice, who should be starting on Wednesday in Warsaw for the European Super Cup final against Atalanta Bergamo (9 p.m.).
A salary multiplied by 20 if Vinicius were to accept
Winner of La Liga and the Champions League with the Merengue club last season, Vinicius Jr remains the favorite for the next Ballon d’Or, despite his elimination in the quarter-finals of the last Copa America. A major player, he will also, in the future, be a headliner of the king of sports, which has of course not failed to catch the attention of Saudi Arabia. According to ESPN, Real Madrid would not accept any possible transfer below this famous clause. So, could Saudi Arabia offer a billion euros in salary to Vinicius Jr and pay, in addition, another billion in order to satisfy a Real Madrid possibly ready to let go of its striker? To date, the merengue club would be, according to Relevo, convinced that Vinicius will not respond favorably to the proposal and will remain at the Santiago Bernabeu, in particular with the prospect of playing, finally, alongside Kylian Mbappé.
