The initiatives of the Saudi NGO are increasing as the regional crises worsen
Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian arm, KSrelief, has this week distributed aid and carried out relief efforts in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen and Lebanon.
In particular, last weekend in the Afghan province of Kandahar, KSrelief distributed 250 food baskets. The aid reached 1,500 people belonging to the most vulnerable categories. In Pakistan, the NGO, according to the Saudi press agency “SPA”, distributed 2,128 food baskets, reaching 14,896 people in the areas affected by the floods.
Meanwhile, KSrelief supported the Yemen Emergency Center for Epidemic Disease Control in Hajjah governorate to provide crucial treatment services to 1,162 patients from December 20 to 26, 2023. The emergency clinic assisted 296 people, the internal medicine clinic served 295 beneficiaries and the infectious disease clinic served 295 patients. The clinic treated 571 patients. Support services included the laboratory department serving 211 people, the pharmacy serving 1,022 people, and 240 patients under observation.
In Lebanon, KSrelief supported the Al-Amal Charitable Bakery project which distributed 150,000 bags to Syrians, Palestinians and members of the host community in northern Lebanon. In total, 125,000 people received this help.
KSrelief also financed the ambulance service of the Subul Al-Salam Social Association in the Miniyeh district of northern Lebanon.
