Saudi Arabia hosts longest iftar feast in Indonesia, with over 8,000 attendees, as part of Ramadan program across 40 nations.

Saudi Arabia has broken the record for the longest iftar banquet in the history of Indonesia. The banquet, which took place in West Sumatra, measured 1,200 metres and was attended by over 8,000 people from Indonesian society. The event was organised by the Saudi Ministry of Social Affairs and hosted by the religious attaché office in Jakarta, with Saudi Arabia having allocated SR5m for providing iftar meals across 40 countries during Ramadan. The ministry has also given away 500 tonnes of dates in 60 countries and sent 54 imams to 18 countries. Affiliated religious offices and centres have been provided with 1 million copies of the Holy Quran.
