Saudi Arabia Executes Two Bahrainis for Terrorist Activities

Riyadh: Saudi Arabia executed two Bahrainis after they were found to have carried out terrorist activities. This is the official information released by the Saudi Ministry of Interior. This is the ninth incident this month. Jafar Sultan and Sadiq Thamar were killed. But so far there has been no announcement from the Bahraini authorities.

The Ministry of Interior said that both had attended camps of terrorist organizations aimed at destabilizing the security of Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. The ministry also said that both of them had helped terrorists in Saudi Arabia by smuggling explosives. However, the information about which terrorist organizations the two are working for has not been released. International media reports that more than 40 executions took place in Saudi Arabia this year. In 2022, 147 people were killed. 81 of them are accused of terrorism. Out of 81 people, 73 are Saudi citizens, seven are Yemenis and one is a Syrian citizen. In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Interior has announced that 81 suspects have been executed for working with the Islamic State and Al-Qaeda terrorist organizations and committing crimes such as murder and rape. Mass executions were carried out in Saudi Arabia in 2016 as well. On that day, the Saudi government executed 47 people, including the Shia cleric who is the leader of the opposition.
