The National Wildlife Development Center in Saudi Arabia managed to control a number of lions and one wolf in Al Muzahimiyah.
The center said it was able, in cooperation with the safety authorities, to control 8 lions and a wolf raised in one of the governorate’s retirement homes, which is a violation of the environmental law.
The center confirmed that these animals were transferred to the shelter unit of the center in Riyadh.
The National Center for Wildlife Development had said the acquisition of predatory animals carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years or a fine of up to 30 million riyals.
