Saudi Arabia Bans Citizens from Visiting Indonesia Due to Corona Reaping Question Marks

Inhabitant Saudi Arabia banned by the government from visiting Indonesia because of the COVID-19 case. This certainly raises a question mark considering the Corona case in the country has been sloping.

Apart from Indonesia, citizens of Saudi Arabia are prohibited from entering Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, India, Yemen, Somalia, Ethiopia, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Vietnam, Armenia, Belarus and Venezuela.

“Saudi Arabian citizens are prohibited from traveling to 16 countries due to COVID-19 cases in these countries,” said the Directorate General of Passports (Jawazat) quoted from the Saudi Gazette, Monday (23/5).

In addition, Jawazat announced new rules regarding the validity period of passports for Saudi Arabian citizens who wish to travel to both Arab and non-Arab countries. The validity period of the passport must be more than three months to an Arab country and it must be more than six months to a non-Arab country.

The same is true for nationals traveling to Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The validity period of the identity must also be more than three months.

Regarding the requirement that Saudi citizens traveling outside the kingdom, must have received three doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or not past three months after the second dose injection. Children under 16 and 12 years of age are also required to receive two doses of the vaccine.
