Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Nasser, son of Saudi Islamic preacher Awad Al-Qarni, explained what he intends to do after leaving the kingdom to defend his father, who has been detained by the authorities since 2017.

Al-Qarni said in an exclusive telephone interview with CNN in Arabic: “I have been investigated more than once for the speech on the arrest of the father, as it is investigated for the opinion that differs from the prevailing opinion of the government. , and I have been called more than once to investigate the father before leaving the Kingdom ”.

And on what he intends to do after leaving Saudi Arabia, Nasser said: “We want to rely on cadres that there have been violations against the father under the Saudi system and also under the UN system, to demand the execution of (one person) for a different opinion, this has not been brought by anyone in the whole world.. “

He added: “We will rely on United Nations laws and governments active in the region to try to stop the human rights violations that exist in our country.”

Nasser Al-Qarni, who asks the Saudi prosecutor to execute his father, had released a video clip in early October announcing his escape from the Kingdom and his arrival in a “safe place” to defend his father. and detained in his country, as he described it.
