Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Social media activists shared images of a road being restored by adding new “asphalt” around a car parked by the roadside, which sparked interaction.
The Emirate of Makkah Region, and on its official Twitter social network account, posted an image of the asphalt road around the car, with a comment quoting the Jeddah Region Municipality as stating that the latter “explains that the asphalting work in one of the internal streets was an error by the contractor”.
And the Municipality added in the tweet: “It has been commissioned to resurface the entire road with a length of 100 meters, while the necessary procedures towards the port will be carried out”.
The secretariat did not provide further details on the location of the affected road or the contractor.
