Saudi official television reported, on Friday, that six ambulances provided by the Kingdom will arrive in the Gaza Strip, as part of an aid package sent by the Kingdom to the Strip.
According to Al-Ekhbariya channel, a Saudi plane left on Friday, carrying humanitarian aid for the residents of Gaza.
The channel’s correspondent from Egypt said that the Rafah crossing witnessed the arrival of four giant trucks coming from Saudi Arabia, containing large quantities of food and other emergency equipment such as tents and others.
It was reported that one fuel truck and 1,500 trucks loaded with food and medical supplies had arrived in the Gaza Strip as of Friday morning, coming from several countries.
The video clip published by the channel shows Saudi ambulances lining up in front of the plane to transport it to Egypt and then to Gaza via the Rafah crossing.
It is noteworthy that the Palestinian Crossings and Borders Authority, which supervises the Rafah crossing with Egypt, announced on Friday evening the entry of 17,000 liters of fuel into the Gaza Strip to feed the electricity generators belonging to the telecommunications company.
The authority reported in a statement that “17,000 liters of diesel had been entered through the Rafah land crossing for the benefit of the telecommunications company a short while ago.”
On Thursday, the Palestinian Telecommunications Company “Paltel” announced a “complete interruption in communications services… after preventing the entry of fuel and the exhaustion of all backup energy sources to operate the main network elements.”
