Saturday in the 2nd HBL: Rostock celebrates first home win, Eulen continues winning streak | news

On the sixth attempt it was time! HC Empor Rostock was able to celebrate a victory in front of their own crowd for the first time in the sixth home game. He clearly defeated sixth-placed SG BBM Bietigheim with 33:29 (14:13) and was able to turn the tide. For more than a month, the citizens of the Baltic Sea failed to earn more points. On Saturday evening of the eleventh day, a big sigh of relief was breathed. With 4:16 points, Till Wiechers’ team can keep pace with the non-relegation places.

For SG BBM Bietigheim, the defeat meant they slipped to eighth place in the table.



In the second game of the evening, Eulen Ludwigshafen played TVH for matchday 11 points in the Hüttenberg sports center an hour and a half away. After a very even first half, the visitors took the lead in the second round, which they steadily expanded. With six goals scored in the meantime, Eulen Ludwigshafen defeated TV 05/07 Hüttenberg with 28:31 (14:13).

This was their fourth win in a row, which allowed them to move up to sixth place in the standings with 13:7 points. The current seventh place HSG Nordhorn-Lingen (12:8 points) would play against ThSV Eisenach on Sunday and would surpass them again with a win.
