Celeb TikTok Satria Mahathir (SM) or known as Satria ‘Cogil’ was arrested by the Barelang Police. Satria was arrested for being involved in the beating of the son of a member of the Riau Islands (Kepri) DPRD.
“We have arrested four people, the initials SM, AS, DJ and RS for the beating case,” said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit for the Balerang Police, Kompol Ramadhanto, as reported by detikNorth SumatraFriday (5/1/2024).
The beating started when the victim with the initials RA (16) hang out at a cafe in the Tiban area, Sekupang, Batam, on December 31 2023. At that time, the victim allegedly collided with Satria Mahathir which led to a fight. He said that Satria Mahathir had come to Batam to attend New Year’s activities which were held at a cafe in the Tiban area, Batam.
Member of the Riau Islands DPRD, Nyanyang Haris Pratamura, confirmed that his son was the victim of a beating. According to Nyanyang, his son came to the cafe to see Satria Mahatir ‘Cogil’.
“Our house is close to the location, so my son said goodbye and wanted to see it YouTuber and Satria Mahathir, that’s why he went there. When he returned, he was even mobbed by them,” said Nyanyang.
He regretted the incident and was shocked to see the child’s condition when he returned home. They carried out a post-mortem and reported the incident to the police. He said the incident caused a bump on his child’s head, wounds on his hands, and even loose teeth.
