Jakarta –
A number of Satpol PP officers came to the KFC fast food restaurant in the Senopati area, South Jakarta (Jaksel). The clerk checks the restaurant which remains open even though it has been sanctioned for violating the provisions PSBB transition.
Monitoring detikcom, Saturday (10/17/2020), a Satpol PP patrol car came to a restaurant outlet on Jl Senopati 8, Senayan, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta at around 14:44 WIB. There were about 5 Satpol PP personnel at the location.
They then walked towards the KFC outlet. After that they had time to check the body temperature detector (thermal scanner) and had time to enter the shop.
It can be seen that currently there are still customers eating at KFC (dine in). Meanwhile, there were also restrictions on visitors to enter KFC.
detikcom has attempted to meet with management or the authorities on site for comment. However, of the four people who had met and chatted, there was no KFC Senopati management who was willing to be interviewed regarding the restaurant that was open today and about the sanctions from the Satpol PP.
One of the staff, who declined to be identified, said the dine-in service runs until 18.00 WIB. He said the restaurant accepts customers not more than half of the existing capacity.
Previously reported, the KFC fast food restaurant in the Senopati area was sanctioned because it was considered to have violated the provisions of the PSBB during the transition period regarding the capacity of visitors to dine in.
“KFC just opened. Yesterday afternoon, ahead of Asar, it was crowded. Health protocols didn’t work. The owner’s story, it was raining, just opened, people were about to enter. He said so,” said Kebayoran Baru Sub-district Head Tommy Fudihartono when contacted, Saturday (17 / 10).
“In the Pergub (regulation) the capacity is 50 percent,” he said.
Tommy received reports from the public via Twitter that there were crowds at the location. Then, he checked the location to make sure. After that, Tommy and the South Jakarta Satpol PP sealed the restaurant. He asked management to temporarily close the KFC for 24 hours.
“We are BAP, we put a sticker. First it is sealed first, if it violates, a fine of Rp. 50 million. 24 hours means tonight at 9 o’clock (sealed), so tonight will close until 9 o’clock,” he said.
