Zempléni Építő és Gépészeti Kft. can renovate and transform the building located in the central part of Sátoraljaújhely, on the corner of Tompa and Dörzsik utca, according to the Thursday, May 9 issue of the Public Procurement Bulletin.
As a result of the investment, the property will operate as a multifunctional community space. The building and the adjoining basement used to be the city’s popular entertainment venue, which also housed a kitchen and a buffet. The roof insulation of the house was damaged, because of this it was soaked, the plaster is crumbling, some of it has completely fallen off. Its floor covering was destroyed, its interior doors and windows were destroyed. The basement is getting wet, the walls are wet, crumbling in some places, and the flooring is unusable.
The surroundings of the building are also in a degraded and untidy state. The stairs leading to the entrance are frozen. After the closure, it became more and more dilapidated over the years and served as a shelter for the homeless. During the implementation of the application, the building itself and the external spaces connected to it can also be renewed.
The winning tenderer agreed to carry out the renovation works for HUF 97.7 million.
