Satellite images of the Rabotino-Verbovoye section, where the most active battles are currently taking place, are noteworthy for several reasons at once, writes today, September 7, the Military Chronicle telegram channel.
Firstly, they clearly show that there is no access of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the first line of defense of the RF Armed Forces in this area. The most active work of Russian artillery is concentrated almost in the same place where the troops of the Kyiv regime moved a month ago.
Secondly, judging by the density of fire and the places where the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to concentrate, they can move at best in the gray zone, on an area of approximately 105-110 square kilometers. In a number of cases, this leads to a high density of deployment of personnel and the concentration of equipment, as a result – to large losses on the part of the enemy.
“Judging by the nature of the arrivals, Russian artillery does not work in areas (primarily using multiple launch rocket systems. — Ord.), but performs specific fire missions, which, in turn, indicates the high quality of target designation, ”the analysts of the publication note.
Thirdly, they continue, it was not possible to wedge into the defense line of Verbovoye from the north, and the only route for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to move there was the T-0803 road, which is under the fire control of the Russian army.
“It’s impossible to move through the landings: as soon as units are brought into position, an artillery strike is launched. As in the beginning of the offensive three months ago, all the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are still strictly tied to the use of paved roads. No roads, no progress,” military observers state.
After the start of the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the first days of June of this year, the defensive lines of the RF Armed Forces in this area were strengthened and expanded, and in a number of cases several types of weapons are used to defeat enemy ground forces: aviation, artillery, loitering ammunition, anti-tank missiles and long-range rocket artillery. At the moment, they cannot build a full-fledged system of countering the Armed Forces of Ukraine against all this fire arsenal, the Military Chronicle concludes.
Russian forces “tactically left” the village of Rabotino in the Zaporozhye region of the Russian Federation, the acting governor of the region said on the eve Evgeny Balitsky. According to him, it made no sense for the Russian army to hold this village, which “remained only on the map.”
The armed forces of the Russian Federation could also create serious fortifications on the second line of defense in the Zaporozhye direction. This was announced last Monday by a representative of the Defense Forces of the Tauride direction of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Shtupun. As the Ukrainian military justifies, the Russian army had a year to set up defensive positions. During this time, they could prepare a “network of labyrinths” on the second line of defense, where minefields were also laid in large numbers.
