Saskatoon artist exhibits painting in New York

The work of Steph Krawchuk is one of 43 pieces selected from some 800 works from around the world submitted for the exhibition entitled Group Show.

This exhibition was launched by the organization Serving the People (STP), which itself was created by the American artist Lucien Smith.

It will be held from January 31 to February 4, at the Milk Gallery in Manhattan.

For three years, the artist has focused on abstract painting. It was through an advertisement on Instagram that she heard about the occasion.

The exhibition is intended as a springboard for artists who have difficulty exhibiting their works in New York.

Lucien Smith is a successful 28-year-old painter. His paintings each sell for several hundred thousand dollars.

Steph Krawchuk believes that this selection is a golden opportunity to make yourself known.

New York is a big city, with a lot of galleries. I think I have no chances in a city like that, but Lucien Smith gave me an opportunity, ”explains the artist born in Prince Albert.
