Eintracht Frankfurt and Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club have agreed on a loan deal for Sasa Kalajdzic. The Austrian international will strengthen the Hessian Bundesliga club until the end of the season and will wear jersey number nine. The 26-year-old is at home in the attack center and has plenty of Bundesliga experience. Between 2019 and 2022 he was under contract with VfB Stuttgart. During this time he recorded 24 goals and twelve assists in 60 competitive games for the Swabians.
The two-meter-tall Austrian then moved to Wolverhampton in the English Premier League, where he was seriously injured in his first appearance and was out for months. Kalajdzic celebrated his comeback in August 2023 and has remained injury-free since then. In the current season he played 13 competitive games in which he contributed three goals and one assist.
In his home country, Kalajdzic worked for Admira Wacker from 2016 to 2019. For the professionals of the former Bundesliga club, he scored twelve goals and assists in 35 games across all competitions. The Viennese native has 19 international matches and four goals to his name for the national team of his home country; his last appearance so far was against Germany in November.
Eintracht sports director Markus Krösche said: “Sasa has already proven that he can play a very good role in the Bundesliga. His style of play will bring a new component to our game. He is a strong player with good positional and heading skills. We firmly believe that he can help us immediately because of his experience.”
