SAS: a new connection to New York JFK this winter – 11/24/2022 at 12:03

(CercleFinance.com) – SAS announced Thursday that it would open a new connection with New York this winter to strengthen its “strategic” offer to the United States.

The Scandinavian carrier emphasizes that this new route, between Copenhagen and John F. Kennedy Airport, will complement its existing offer, which until now passed through Newark Airport.

Starting next February, the group will offer five weekly flights from the Danish capital to New York JFK, a fare that will rise to one daily flight from the summer.

“The United States is a strategic market for SAS and we will continue to offer new routes and destinations whenever opportunities arise,” assured Erik Westman, commercial director of the company.

SAS points out that US cities continue to generate high demand, forcing it to offer frequent transatlantic flights. The group expects to offer around 130 sailings a week this winter to a total of 12 destinations.
