France’s first lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy makes her acting debut in Woody Allen’s new film Midnight in Paris
France’s First Lady Carla Bruni-Sarkozy made her acting debut in Woody Allen’s new film Midnight in Paris, which was shot in the French capital.
The BBC writes that the director met her on the set of the romantic comedy, after which the scenes in which the wife of the president Nicolas Sarkozy took part were filmed. All this happened in front of the eyes of the French head of state, who, surrounded by bodyguards, watched his wife’s acting.
The film stars Owen Wilson, Marion Cotillard, Kathy Bates and Rachel McAdams. The plot follows the story of a young engaged couple whose lives are turned upside down by a trip to Paris. Filming began earlier this month.
