Thiruvananthapuram: Saritha S. Statement against Bavco top officials in connection with Nair’s employment fraud. It is alleged that the accused took money in the name of manager Meenakumari. Complainant Arun testified that he spoke to Meenakumari on the phone.
Ratheesh, the first accused, had twice bought around Rs 2 lakh in the name of Meenakumari. But when he could not get a job, Arun organized Meenakumari’s mobile number and called her directly twice. Meenakumari replied to Arun that she was not aware of such an appointment. Arun later called Saritha about this.
Dissatisfied with Meenakumari’s call, Saritha hung up the phone saying she could call back. Meenakumari called Arun 10 minutes after Saritha hung up the phone and asked her why she was telling others what she had said.
But police say they need to find out how Meenakumari came to know that Arun had called Saritha. It is yet to be ascertained whether Saritha is in touch with Meenakumari, police said. If it is found that there is a connection with Saritha, the police have decided to add Meenakumari and others as accused.
Saritha and her associates had allegedly swindled lakhs of rupees by issuing fake appointment orders in the name of the Bautistas Corporation and KTDC. The scam also involved an interview invitation in the name of the KTDC managing director. The complainants alleged that the money was bought by an LDF candidate from Kunnathukal panchayath and that many people had called and believed the officials of the secretariat.
Saritha S believes that the government has similar influence to the solar case. Nair accused of cheating in Neyyattinkara. But there is a sense that they are behind the employment of some people in the Bautistas Corporation, and there is no need to investigate that.
